Apps: gamify nature appreciation

The pitch: an app like pokemon go that gets kids out of the house and collecting.  The cat h: must collect photos of species of plants, animals, bugs that are common in their area.  

Their photos are put through picture recognition software and matched.  They can look at other samples of similar species to decide which one it is.  Community forums can dispute a claim.  The capture is then turned into a card like poke cards and gives the kids infi in the species, its enemies, its abilities.  

Rare species are especially valuable.

Good for learning, conservation, citizen science data collection of population levels.
